The Irish Legend: The Children of Lir

Lir was a king who had four children, when his wife died he re-married Aoife who put a spell (which could only be broken by the sound of a Christian bel) on the four children and turned them into swans for 900 years. Lir banished his wife when he found out what she had done and Lir spent all his time beside the lake talking to his children and listening to their singing.
One of the places the swans stayed for 300 years was the sea of Moyle (between Ballycastle and Rathlin Island).
The pendant shows the four swans on the sea of Moyle.

As our commitment towards net zero, this sterling silver children of Lir pendant was handmade with recycled metal in a solar powered workshop. Our packaging has been made in the UK with recyclable materials.
