The Bann Disc, discovered by dredging the river Bann in 1939, is a remarkable example of Irish Iron Age metalwork. Measuring only 10.6 cm in diameter, the original bronze disc boasts a triple spiral design often seen in Irish designs, such as the Book of Kells, and other cultural artifacts from Greece. It is believed that this triple spiral represents fertility, with each spiral symbolizing three months.
