This dark depressing photo was taken at Crumlin Road Gaol, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

This subterranean tunnel runs underneath the Crumlin Road between the old Gaol and Courthouse, it was used to move prisoners from custody to sentencing and back for execution at the gallows. Here Mathieu tried to capture the dark foreboding of the tunnel and what it represented for the prisoners escorted here, there is literally and figuratively no light at the end of the tunnel for them.

This interesting black and white abstract photograph comes in ash black frames with white mounts as 12x8 in or 20x16 and 2 in Canvass wrap in15x10 in, 20x20 in or 30x20 in.
