We are delighted to launch our programme of activities for the Get Creative week.
We are still working on the yarn bombing project, if you are far away, you can still help by sending your yarn squares by post to: The Puffin Gallery, 44 Ann Street, Ballycastle BT54 6AD UK. We know of one person based in Australia who is participating! All need to be received by the 15th March.
Our artists are going to do demonstrations and you can book your free place for this through this link
Demonstrations include wet felting with Louisa Kelly, oil painting with Tom Long and Prof. Harry McMahon, embroidered jewellery with Janice Gilmore, playing with clay with Malcolm Murchison, Sasha McVey and Ann-Marie Robinson.
Robert Spotten will be holding a drawing/mark making workshop divided into two sessions (A bag of materials to take home is included in the price - charcoal, pencils, colour pencils, pastel, watercolours) - the first session will be held on Monday 19th March at 5.50 - 8.00pm and the second session will be on Saturday 24th March at 10.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 4.30pm - you can choose the time that suits you best.
This workshop is particularly suited to beginners, it is mainly a way of learning how to use different media whilst having fun and relaxing - the stress is on enjoying creativity without looking for perfection.
There is a charge for this workshop to cover materials (£37.27), it can be booked by clicking here
