Felted masterpiece by Marie-Louise: Hare in grasses

Hare in grasses is a beautiful piece of felted wool by Marie-Louise, with beautiful tan and green colours. Hares are plentiful in Ireland and one of note is the golden hare from Rathlin, across the water from Ballycastle. 

Marie-Louise is one of the most talented felt maker in Northern Ireland. Her felt images look like real paintings and it is only on close examination that you realise that wool has been used with such skill and detail that you cannot fail to fall in love with her work.
